Inappropriate hugging
In Adelaide, Australia, an elementary school has banned hugging and other displays of affection between pre-teen girls and boys. The reason behind this was to set a good example for the younger students. The children of Largs Bay Primary school in the southern city of Adelaide were spoken to about this inappropriate behavior. 6th and 7th grade students who are seen as role models by our younger students set strong standard behaviors, principal Julie Gale sent in an e-mail referring to the 11-13 year old students. She said hugging between friends wasn't band, but they do not allow displays of affection.Steve Portlock of the South Australia Primary Principals Association said "One of the things that is most important for these schools to do is to talk to their students about what's appropriate and what's not appropriate, whether it is about language or the things they wear and certainly in this case about the way boys and girls interact, especially when it comes to the stage of being boyfriends and girlfriends."

Share a grave with a stranger?

London's largest cemetary is trying to convince people to share a grave with someone. Other countries in Europe often re-use old graves after a couple of decades. In most of Britain re-using old graves is still illegal. Since the law changed last year, cemetery staff have begun the process of digging up old remains, reburying them deeper and putting new dead bodies on top, in what have been dubbed "double-decker" graves.Burks, a burly man who began working at the cemetery as a groundsman and gravedigger almost 25 years ago, said reusing graves will buy the rapidly filling cemetery six or seven more years of burials."We are doing our damnedest to make the cemetery more sustainable," he said. So far, no cemeteries in London have followed this rule. 29-year-old London receptionist Temi Oshinowo said "I don't even want to think about it. It's not showing respect. It doesn't matter whether or not the person has been buried for 25 years or 100 years, that is their space and you should give them respect."

Irish parents are already struggling to do this because the country is in a recession. Toilet paper will be issued in the classroom for bathroom use. This wasn't meant to be a request, but it is a way to balance books, says Catherine O'Neill at St. Johns Girls National School. So far half the class, has brought in toilet paper rolls. Apparently California's on fire...again!

By Kayla Irby
More than five-hundred acres of land in California has now been destroyed. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger estimated that dozens of houses have been destroyed because of wild fires. Thousands have been evacuated so far. Santa Barbara County Capt. David Sadecki predicted that the "sundowner" winds were going to happen in that particular California area. Sadecki says it's too dangerous to do containment lines. They're doing some structure protection, but in this case, California fire fighters can be safe one minute and in danger the next minute. Ten fire fighters have been injured so far. This includes three Ventura County fire fighters whose fire truck was overtaken by fire as they tried to protect a structure. If things keep going like this, the whole state of California could be decimated and burned down.
